The original magazine is in good collector's condition. The cover depicts the famous Soviet tankman, senior Lieutenant Vladimir Petrovich Khazov. A tankman stands on the armor of a T-34 tank with his hand on the barrel of its cannon. He is wearing a helmet and overalls typical of that time. The caption reads: "One of the glorious defenders of Stalingrad is tankman Senior Lieutenant Vladimir Khazov, who destroyed 27 fascist tanks." Vladimir Petrovich Khazov (1918-1942) — Hero of the Soviet Union. He accomplished his main feat in June 1942 near Kharkov: at the head of a company of three T-34 tanks, he engaged in battle with a column of 27 German tanks. In this battle, all enemy tanks were destroyed, while Khazov personally shot down 8 of them. Unfortunately, he died in September 1942 during the battles for Stalingrad in 270*340 mm format. Ogonek is a Russian and Soviet socio-political, literary and artistic illustrated weekly magazine. The magazine was published in Moscow from 1923 to 2021. During the Soviet period, the circulation of the publication reached several million copies. As of 2017, the magazine had a circulation of about 80,000 copies. On December 21, 2020, the publication of the printed version was announced.
