Description
A rare plate in very good condition. The diameter is 235 mm.

The 1st Guards Rifle Proletarian Moscow-Minsk Order of Lenin, twice Red Banner, Orders of Suvorov and Kutuzov Division is a rifle division of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. After the collapse of the USSR, the compound was part of the Armed Forces Of the Russian Federation. Participated in The Baltic Campaign (1940), the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), Operation "Danube" (1968) and the First Chechen War (1994-1996).

It was formed on December 26, 1926 as The Moscow Proletarian Rifle Division. He is a regular participant in parades held in Moscow, demonstrations and ostentatious exercises. A large number of new types of equipment and weapons were tested on the basis of the division. By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the division was a fairly combat-ready unit with general training above the average level of the Red Army.

 

In 1941, during the initial period of the Great Patriotic War, it was destroyed under Mogilev and Smolensk and reformed anew with the same number and retaining all awards and honorary titles. On September 21, 1941, she became a Guard officer for her military achievements. She fought through the entire war, ending with the Pillau assault. She was awarded five orders for the brave and skillful actions of the personnel during the Great Patriotic War. 15 soldiers of the division were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.

 

In the post-war years, the division was stationed in the Kaliningrad region, participated in 1968 in Operation "Danube" and the First Chechen (1994-1996) wars. In 2002, it was transformed into the 7th Guards Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade, and later into the 7th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Coastal Forces of the Baltic Fleet, retaining all honorary titles and awards.
