the plant "Proletariat". In the 1830s on the banks of the Niches near the village of Bronnitsy of Krestetsky district of the Novgorod province at the behest of engineer P. K. Jacob Reichel, who paved gravel bustling highway Moscow – St. Petersburg, is located a village with a windmill (New Windmill). The son of an engineer after his father's death in 1870, he attempted to establish wood production: started to manufacture furniture, dishes. However, the expected profit of the production is not brought, and in 1880 the workshop was closed. Soon Jacob Reichel interested in profitable delivered business of a merchant Kuznetsova – Volhovo at the station, 7 km from Chudovo, operated a porcelain factory. Rapid implementation intentions Jacob Reichel was facilitated by the presence of abundant local red clay and cheap labor. Soon, in 1882, were built two plants, pottery and brick. Since 1884, the enterprise, equipped with new equipment, started the production of porcelain and faience products. But our dishes were inferior in quality Kuznetsovsk. Many products is not painted. Kuznetsovsky China, successfully competing with products of foreign firms accelerated the ruin of smaller manufacturers, including plant Jacob Reichel. One of the representatives of the merchant and lumberman I. E. Kuznetsov, who owned along with the Volkhov porcelain and faience factory Chudowski glass – crystal factory, bought laid by Jacob Reichel plant (in 1892). Starting the production, Kuznetsov was brought from Moscow by masters for the production of porcelain, and in 1893, the plant started to produce new products. Soon gone and the name of the village – the New Mill. Named were close to it the largest municipality – Bronnitsy factory became known as hilltop. By the early twentieth century on Bronnitskaya porcelain the factory employed 1,100 people, was made approx. 890 tons of products per year. In 1913 was established the "Partnership on equal footing Ivan Emelyanovich Kuznetsova", consisting of nine shareholders, relatives of Kuznetsova. In "Partnership" has entered the Volkhov porcelain and faience factory and Chudovsky glass – crystal factory, and hilltop Georgian porcelain factory. After the February revolution in March – April 1917 at the all porcelain Kuznetsov enterprises have established committees and councils of elders, who took control of the production. The release of products managed to establish immediately: there were no stocks of raw materials and fuel, almost all of the equipment in the workshops was in poor condition. In the years of foreign military intervention and civil war, the factory operated intermittently. In November of 1921 created the State trust porcelain and faience industry of the Novgorod province – Nowsupport, which includes hilltop, Georgian and Volkhov porcelain factory.
In November 1922 on the initiative of the workers of the factory Bronnitskaya the company was renamed to "Workers". Since 1925 "Workers" fully switched to the production of porcelain.
In February 1942, the plant "Proletariat" was evacuated to Krasnoyarsk. The remaining workers established in the same year the production of the heaters for front, preparing the gypsum for hospitals. The factory buildings were severely damaged in the bombing of the village, and when in March 1944 began the restoration of the plant, we had to start everything from scratch. By January 1945 were issued 90 thousand pieces of porcelain. In may 1945, launched an art and craft school. Already in the first release, in July 1948, the "Proletarian" came 62 qualified moulder and painter. In 1962 the plant was reconstructed and fundamentally changed the technology of production. In 1967 began production of thin-walled porcelain. A high appraisal at the exhibition in Montreal received medals of Novgorod. By 1970 it was planned to produce approx. 50 million products. Fabrication, machining and decorating of a significant amount of steel products production. In the 1980s chetvarta part all the products of "Proletarian" was decorated with screen printing, or sliding decals, which were received with Dulevo colorful plant. A significant portion of the decals were produced based on the drawings of artists "Proletarian". 1976 – Director of the porcelain factory "Proletarian" - B. M. Kupchik. The most famous masters of the form and painting of porcelain in the factory: the oldest artists of the Colonists I. P. (worked with 1930s), Z. Alekseeva (at the plant since 1937), E. M. Nikulin, F. N. Krokhina (the main artist of the plant from the late. 1940s to early 1950s), young artists, G. A. Khomenko, S. V. Yatsun, A. I. Ravkin, O. N. Kolokoltsov, V. S. Petrov, K. I. Turkin, E. V. Romanova, V. A. Sosnovskij, etc.
