By the early 1930s the fire brigades in the USSR was divided into professional, consisting of the Chief of the fire Department (supen), the NKVD and voluntary, were in small towns and villages where there were no professional teams, as well as in the factories. Enlisted personnel of the factory teams were made up of workers and employees of the factory who have undergone special training as a team often involved in professional firefighters. Last wore special insignia on the posts. Most of the depicted – combatants enlisted personnel, outfitted in brass helmets, canvas jackets and the same material pants, high boots. On top of wearing a wide canvas jackets life belts and gas masks in cloth bags. To belts using blades hanging fire hatchets. Left in the third row – the driver of the fire truck or fire engine driver of the steam engine in the typical leather "Swedish" jacket and a cloth cap. Several are depicted in the foreground and in the centre of the group dressed in dark blue cloth uniform of the sample 1927 – coats and outdoor jackets (last officially relied only command personnel). Visible on the lapels of fire-technical logo in the form of a helmet with crossed fire axes and a French key. The same emblem, but slightly larger, can be viewed on the band caps, so was mint shaped buttons. On the lapels pictured some visible official insignia in the form of a faceted five-pointed stars in the center of which is a circle with the hammer and sickle. Three such sign (the third and fifth from right in the second row) could denote the positions of the inspectors or instructors of the fire Departments (KJV) territories, regions, Autonomous provinces and republics, single (the second, third and fifth in the same row) – assistant captain, head of unit of the fire brigade or paramedic. The band caps and tabs – red all metal parts of the outfit brass. Thus, it is safe to assume that the center of the group, in a single-breasted light jacket – the head of the squad or team, and on each side of it – the instructors or inspectors of the UPR. In the foreground – rolled fire hoses with the valves on the right – hand piston fire pump, available in each team. Very interesting also the pictured badges. Round small size – signs or fire company or for persons who graduated from the regional fire technical training command (gear and fire emblem beneath the coat of arms of the USSR). A sign of great size, one of the instructors, based on the size and the composition of the Leningrad fire technical school, established in 1929, With, however, an interesting sign is visible on the chest of the character in the upper-uniform (coat and hat Finca), lying in the foreground. The characteristic form of a rhombus with curved top part can accurately define it as "a Single fire sign of the Republic", introduced in 1923 firefighters-volunteers enamel on the sign was red. Photos of firefighters of the 1920s and the 1930s in General are extremely rare, both because of the scarcity of this category of persons, and because not all senior officials of the NKVD survived the mid-1930s Photo, which contains the form and insignia of a sample of 1927 found us for the first time. Size 160*215 mm.
