Dark bronze, stamping. Diameter 29 mm. On the front side of the medal in the center shows the monogram of Nicholas II surmounted by the Imperial crown. Around the monogram depicts the Laurel wreath of two branches. Between the Laurel wreath and the rim with the edge of the coin was on the circumference the inscription: "the FIRST GENERAL CENSUS of the POPULATION." On the reverse side of the horizontal inscription of five lines: FOR WORKS / FIRST General / CENSUS / POPULATION / 1897. Almost perfect collectible condition. The guarantee of authenticity.
Medal "For works on first national census" was designed to reward persons who worked free of charge counters, and organizers of the first universal census of the Russian Empire in 1897. Established on 21 November (3 December), 1896, by decree of Emperor Nicholas II, which was given to the Minister of internal Affairs I. L. Goremykin. She did not have a degree.
