The Medal "For the Pacification of the Polish Rebellion" is a state award of the Russian Empire, established on January 1, 1865 by decree of Emperor Alexander II. It was awarded to participants in the suppression of the January Uprising of 1863-1864 on the territory of the Kingdom of Poland, the North-Western Territory and Volhynia. The medal was worn on the chest on a white-orange-black ribbon (the colors of the national flag of the empire). Since 1911, wounded soldiers have been given the right to wear it on a bow.
