Silver, enamel, stamping, gilding. The award is made in the form of an eight-pointed radiant star (breastplate). In the center is an enameled shield with the coats of arms of Castile (castle) and Leon (lion), surrounded by a blue ring with the inscription "AL MERITO EN CAMPAÑA" ("For services to the campaign"). Four golden swords are placed crosswise between the beams. There is a crown at the top of the cross, a castle at the bottom, and lions on the sides. The reverse is smooth. Excellent condition.
