Silver, enamel, stamping. The original order is in excellent collector's condition. The order is a red enameled cross with a white ring around the central medallion (IV art.). Judging by the presence of the ribbon, this is the 2nd class (officer's cross), since the 1st class of the IV degree was a breastplate and was worn on a pin. The golden crowned Bulgarian lion is depicted in the center. The inscription in Bulgarian: "FOR BRAVERY" and the year 1915. The crossed swords between the rays of the cross indicate that the award was given for military merit directly on the battlefield. The blue ribbon with silver stripes on the edges is the traditional ribbon of the Order of Bravery. Rare. Guarantee of authenticity.
The Order for Bravery is the first Bulgarian state award, established by Prince Alexander Battenberg in 1880. It was awarded exclusively to military personnel for courage and heroism in battle. The IV degree was the most widely awarded officer award and was awarded to thousands of Bulgarian and foreign (including German and Austrian) officers. This is the "issue of 1915", as indicated by the date on the obverse of the medallion. This type was established in 1916 to reward merit in the First World War (Bulgaria entered the war in October 1915).
