The original cross is in excellent condition. Silver, stamping, gold, polishing. The brand on the lower beam: W. Manufacturer: Hofjuwelier Johann Wagner & Sohn, Berlin. On the original single shoe, with the original tape. On the obverse, in the center of the round gilded medallion, there is the crowned monogram of William II (WR — Wilhelm Rex), and the date of establishment is stamped at the bottom — 1900. The inscription "Verdienst um den Staat" ("For services to the State") is embossed on the reverse side of the medallion. Guarantee of authenticity.
It was established on January 27, 1900 by King William II of Prussia and Emperor of Germany. It was awarded from 1900 to 1918 (before the fall of the monarchy in Germany at the end of the First World War). The award was intended for civilian officials, junior officers and non-commissioned officers for various services to the state, as well as for many years of impeccable service.
