Regulations on signs on September 22, 1943. The badges for distinguished railway transport workers are metal and have an elliptical shape depicting an oxidized steam locomotive wheel standing on a rail. In the upper part there is a waving flag, covered with ruby-red enamel, with gilded edges and the inscription in gold letters: "Excellent". The size of the signs is 40 mm in height and 28 mm in width. Gilded Christmas trees are depicted on the edges of the signs. At the bottom, on an oxidized, red-enameled piece of rail, one of the following inscriptions is placed in gilded letters: "locomotive", "mover", "trackman", "signalman", "wagon driver", "builder", "restorer", "administrative employee". At the bottom of the wheel, on the spokes, there is a gilded emblem: a French key and a hammer. Emblems corresponding to the branches of railway transport are depicted above the hub: for steam locomotives, an oxidized steam locomotive; for traffic, freight, an oxidized traffic light, track, and passenger arrows; for track farms, an oxidized bridge; for communications farms, two intertwining lightning bolts covered with ruby-red enamel in an oxidized square; for for the carriage industry - an oxidized wagon; for builders - an oxidized bridge; for restoration organizations - an oxidized bridge and rail with a gilded technical sign; for administrative workers - a gilded crossed sickle, hammer and French key, with a ruby-red star embedded in the middle.
