The inscription "Z-D X-NOGO / F-YES // USSR" is stamped on the clamping nut. Combined. Bronze, gilding, oxidation (blackening — binoculars), enamel. Weight 13.30 g. The dimensions are 34.00*33.83 mm. It was established on the initiative of the Main Artillery Directorate of the Red Army and personally its chief, Nikolai Alekseevich Yefimov (May 6, 1897 - August 14, 1937). The commanding and commanding staff of the artillery was awarded for “systematic excellent performance of combat gun, battery, divisional and group firing,” and the junior command staff for “personal art of artillery shooting.” Gunners were also awarded for “exceptional achievements in shooting tanks.” The mandatory conditions for awarding were the maintenance of excellent condition of the material, mechanical and horse traction, as well as other military equipment in the unit commanded by the candidate for the badge. It was abolished by Order of the Minister of Defense of the USSR No. 82 dated April 4, 1962. The sign was of two types:
- Type I - sample 1936. The reverse side was smooth, the number was cut out with a stichel;
- Type II - 1946 model. The reverse side had a counter-relief, used. It was awarded in 1946 - 1962.
