The original sign is in excellent condition. Bronze, enamel, stamping, engraving. The sign depicts a complex composition symbolizing the successes of the Soviet chemical industry.: a red banner in the upper part with the inscription "USSR", a hammer and sickle, a figure of a chemical worker standing against the background of industrial equipment, a distillation (chemical) column in the center is the main technological symbol of the industry. The crossed ribbons say "EXCELLENT STUDENT OF SOCIAL COMPETITION," and the bottom plaque says "NARKOMKHIMPROM." The fastening to the clothes is screw-type (a threaded pin for the nut is soldered on the reverse side). The award number 1432 is carved on the reverse. Guarantee of authenticity.
The People's Commissariat of Chemical Industry of the USSR (Narkomkhimprom) established this sign on November 1, 1939 (approved by People's Commissar M. F. Denisov). The badge was awarded from 1939 to 1946 (in 1946, the People's Commissariats were transformed into ministries, and the inscription on the signs changed to "Minkhimprom").
