Bronze, enamel, silvering, stamping. The sign is a slightly elongated vertical hexagon covered with white enamel. An overhead red five-pointed star with a hammer and sickle and a radial notch under the enamel is attached in the upper left part. To the right of it is an inscription in four lines: "To the best drummer of a military construction site." In the lower part on the left, you can see a finished industrial building with a smoking chimney. In the center is a building in scaffolding, and to its left is a construction tunnel. Below, in the foreground, there is a mortar unit, a water pump and a shovel. The lower right part of the sign is covered by a fragment of a gear wheel, and on the left side is a hexagon framed by a laurel branch. All the details of the sign are silvered, and all the details of the star are gilded. The award number 3143 is carved on the back. The size is 39*30 mm. Fastening with a pin and nut.
A special role in the system of the country's armed forces has always belonged to military builders, who built many naval bases and other naval facilities. In 1934, to encourage military construction workers, a badge was established for the "Best drummer of a military construction site."
