The original Soviet departmental badge of the distinguished social worker of the post-war period. The item is in good, honest collector's condition, there are small chips of enamel. The badge is made of brass by high-quality stamping, covered with hot enamels (ruby red and white) and gilding. The surface retains the bright colors of the enamel with minimal traces of use, as well as a beautiful natural patina that emphasizes the age of the sign.
The composition of the sign is a wreath of ripe golden wheat ears. In the upper part there is a waving figured banner, covered with ruby-red enamel, with a clear gilt inscription in two lines: "EXCELLENT STUDENT OF SOCIALIST". The central part is occupied by a figured shield-medallion with a detailed relief image of a tractor plowing a field against the background of the rays of the rising sun and the buildings of the social town. The medallion is encircled by a white enamel ribbon with the gilded inscription "AGRICULTURE". At the very bottom, on the figured enamel shield, the abbreviation of the department is embossed — "Ministry of Health of the USSR" (Ministry of Agriculture of the USSR).
There is a deep pronounced counter-relief on the reverse of the sign. The original mounting pin (screw) is installed in the center. The thread on the pin is intact, the screw was not shortened. A beautiful piece of furniture in excellent preservation, which will be a worthy addition to the collection of Soviet phaleristics dedicated to labor and agricultural development in the post-war years.
