A very rare original sign in good condition for an object made of earth. Bronze, the remains are silvered. The original twist is included. The sign has not been washed or cleaned. One of the plow's fasteners is broken off. Guarantee of authenticity. Signs with original enamel are extremely rare in such preservation.
By order of the People's Commissar for Military Affairs Leon Trotsky on July 29, 1918, a "Red Army badge was introduced, which was supposed to be worn on the left side of the chest and a cockade badge" on the headdress. The Red Army badge consisted of the same star, but with sharper rays, superimposed on a wreath of oak and laurel leaves in gray-silver color. The size is 7 cm in height and 5 cm in width. However, it was not possible to organize the standard production of these signs in the factory and to supply them to the personnel. Red Army soldiers often made them on their own. Tin cans became the most suitable material. This led to the fact that everyone independently decided on the shape and size of the asterisk. In addition, they began to be supplemented with homemade emblems indicating the branch of the armed forces – gunners, aviators, engineers.
