At the bottom of the page is the caption: "SHARP-EYED SENTRIES OF THE CAPITAL." The text explains that exactly one year ago, on the frosty December days, fierce battles were taking place on the outskirts of Moscow, and calls for remembering the heroic deed of the defenders of the city. Ogonek is a Russian and Soviet socio-political, literary and artistic illustrated weekly magazine. The magazine was published in Moscow from 1923 to 2021. During the Soviet period, the circulation of the publication reached several million copies. As of 2017, the magazine had a circulation of about 80,000 copies.
