The original magazine is in good collector's condition. The cover depicts a historical moment on the Western Front during the Great Patriotic War: The delegation of the Tuvan People's Republic (TNR) presents gifts to the soldiers of the Red Army. TNR was the first official ally of the USSR in World War II, declaring war on Germany as early as June 22, 1941. The Tuvan people actively helped the front by sending trains with food, warm clothing (felt boots, sheepskin coats), leather and wool. In April 1942, the first official TNR delegation arrived in Moscow with a trainload of gifts. After meeting with the commander of the Western Front, G. K. Zhukov, the delegates went directly to the front line in the areas of Istra, Volokolamsk and Mozhaisk to personally deliver parcels to the soldiers. At the bottom of the page it says: "WESTERN FRONT. A representative of the delegation of the Tuvan People's Republic Toka presents gifts to the soldiers of the nth unit." The author of the picture is photojournalist M. Kalashnikov. Paperback. Black and white illustrations. Guarantee of authenticity.
