This book is a product of the joint work of Samuel Marshak with the famous creative team of cartoonists Kukryniksy (Mikhail Kupriyanov, Porfiry Krylov, Nikolai Sokolov), created in 1942, during the Great Patriotic War.
Cooperation of Kukryniks with S. Marshak during the Great Patriotic War was useful for a children's book both in terms of content and stylistically. In addition, their illustrations suggested not an inert, but an active, active perception by young readers, and this problem was very important for domestic book publishing during this period.
