The original tunic is in very good collector's condition. It is sewn from a semi-wool diagonal of dark blue color. It is equipped with the original insignia of the captain of the Red Army Air Force, introduced by the order of the NGO dated July 26, 1940, which makes it possible to date the subject from the second half of 1940 to the beginning of 1941. The collar of the tunic is stand-up and turn-down with a two-hook and loop closure. There are buttonholes sewn on the collar according to the branch of the armed forces. The front slit of the tunic has an open three-button closure. The bottom of the strap ends with a toe and is attached with transverse stitches. There are two patch pockets with three-button flaps on the chest, with a single button closure. The sleeves are double—seam, with two pleats at the bottom, with split cuffs, with two uniform buttons. The tunic has a blue edging on the collar and cuffs. There is a mark of a spiral order on his chest. The size is about 48. The leather gear shown in the photo is not included and is sold separately. It was introduced by Order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 176 dated December 3, 1935. The tunics for the auto-armored troops are steel-colored and for the air force are dark blue in color, abolished by order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 005 dated February 1, 1941. The transition to new types of uniforms began on October 1, 1941 and was fully completed by the end of 1942. The issue of newly introduced items for the supply of uniforms should be carried out after the expiration of the period for wearing items of the old uniform. For all others, they were abolished by order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 25 dated January 15, 1943. The entire Red Army will switch to new insignia - shoulder straps in the period from February 1 to February 15, 1943. Allow the re-wearing of existing uniforms with new insignia until the next issue of uniforms in accordance with current deadlines and supply standards.
