A set of the dress uniform of the major of the technical service of the engineering troops, mod. 1943

The set includes a dress uniform of the 1943 model and a cap. The uniform is single-breasted, with a cut-off bodice, fastened with five large buttons on the left side. The collar is rigid, stand-up, fastened with two hooks and loops. The upper edge and ends of the collar are trimmed with blue edging. On the collar of the uniform, at an equal distance from its upper and lower edges and 1 cm from the ends, buttonholes (without edging) are sewn from the instrument cloth. The buttonholes have 2 brass gilt strips with black gaps, introduced in 1947. The sleeves of the uniform are double-stitched, with straight side cuffs, edged at the upper edge and ends. There are two brass vertical buttonholes (columns) on the sleeve cuffs, respectively, in accordance with the established shape. There are leaves sewn on the tail of the back, at the ends of which one large button is sewn. Edging along the edge of the left side, collar, leaflet and cuffs, color — according to the type of troops (in our case, blue, corresponding to the engineering troops). All buttons are uniform, brass. The TSUM tag is sewn inside Glavvoentorg. Size 46-48, average height. It was introduced by order of the People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR No. 25 dated January 15, 1943. The uniform is completed with an original cap, sewn at the factory of hats in Moscow.
