The badge is an oval shield of red enamel with a silver-colored sword with a gold hilt superimposed on it. A gilded hammer and sickle are superimposed on the sword in the center of the sign. In the lower part of the sign, along the golden rim of the shield, there is a red enamel ribbon with the inscription "70" in the central part. On the reverse side is the award number 16366 Yu. At the end of 1947, the name of the badge "Honored Worker of the NKVD" was changed.
