Silver, enamel. Mm-hmm. The original sign is in excellent condition. The badge is an oval shield of red enamel with a silver-colored sword with a gold hilt superimposed on it. A gilded hammer and sickle are superimposed on the sword in the center of the sign. In the lower part of the sign, along the golden rim of the shield, there is a red enamel ribbon with the inscription "Interior Ministry" in the central part. On the reverse side is the award number 8786. Small type of letters. Guarantee of authenticity. Rare.
At the end of 1947, the name of the badge "Honored Worker of the NKVD" was changed. Now it was the badge "Honored Worker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs", and the abbreviation "NKVD" was replaced by "MVD" on it. It so happened that it ceased to be an award for the chekists and remained a departmental badge of honor in the Interior Ministry system. For state security officers, a new badge of honor was introduced only in 1957, and until that time, MGB–KGB officers were rewarded with cash prizes, gifts, and personalized honorary weapons. In the 60s, the Ministry of Internal Affairs was temporarily transformed into the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during this period the sign "Honored Worker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs" was issued, then after the reverse transformation into the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the sign "Honored Worker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs" was issued again, and the numbering on this entire series of signs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-the Ministry of Internal Affairs-the Ministry of Internal Affairs was uniform.
