Woolen diagonal in gray, embroidery with gold metallic thread. The size is 97*27 mm. Excellent condition. It belonged to Major General A.A. Zhuravlev. Guarantee of authenticity.
On April 1, 1949, new uniforms were introduced for Air Force officers, and with it badges for specialties. Three signs were introduced: the pilot, the navigator and the specialist of the aviation Engineering Service (IAS). In 1958, the regulation on the classification of officers was extended to the officers of the repair and technical bases of the Air Force and Navy aviation. The sign has decreased in size. On November 29, 1960, new requirements were introduced for assigning class to flight personnel. The size of the signs has also decreased. In 1971, in connection with the introduction of the highest degrees of flying skills - "Sniper Pilot" and "Navigator Pilot", the signs of the pilot and navigator were changed.
