Kharitonov (16 Dec 1916 — 1 Feb 1987) — the participant of the great Patriotic war, the fighter pilot, hero of the Soviet Union (1941). Born December 16, 1916 in the village of Knyazhevo. Received secondary education. After graduating from teacher training courses worked as a teacher in primary school No. 12 of the city of Ulan-Ude. He graduated from Bataisk military aviation school pilots in 1940. The participant of the great Patriotic war from June 1941. Pilot 158 th fighter regiment (39th fighter aviation division, Northern front). A candidate member of the CPSU Lieutenant P. T. Kharitonov 28 Jun 1941 in air combat over Leningrad, using up all ammunition, for the first time during the defense of Leningrad used the air RAM, cut off the propeller wheel height of the aircraft of the enemy. Member of the CPSU (b)/CPSU since 1942. After the war he continued service in the air force. In 1953 he graduated from the air force Academy. Since 1955, Colonel Kharitonov — in stock.
