Postcard "Glory to Stalin's falcons!", 1939

An original and quite rare Soviet propaganda postcard in good collector's condition.

The front side features a highly artistic lithograph by the famous Soviet poster artist Nikolai Dolgorukov. The composition is dedicated to the triumph of Soviet aviation in the late 1930s. The legendary record-breaking aircraft are depicted: "Moscow" (TSKB-30) by V. Kokkinaki, two ANT-25 "URSS No. 25" aircraft (famous transpolar flights by V. Chkalov and M. Gromov in the USA), as well as the Rodina aircraft (ANT-37 bis) the female crew of V. Grizodubova. In the lower part of the composition, against the background of the USSR Military Air Flag and the waving red banner, there is a graphic silhouette of Stalin's profile. There is a propaganda slogan: "Glory to Stalin's falcons!".

The reverse side is clean, without passing through the mail, has a standard design. There is a duplication of the inscription "Postcard" in the international language of Esperanto ("POŜTA KARTO"), which is typical for the pre-war period. The full output data is written in the lower part: the artist N. Dolgorukov, the editor N. Bolberg, the price is 15 K., the circulation is 100,000 copies. and the printing date is 1939.

A vivid, characteristic example of pre-war Soviet visual agitation and the iconic style of the "Stalinist Empire". An excellent exhibit in the collection on the history of Soviet aviation (Red Army / Air Force), pre-war philocarty or Stalinist propaganda.

Collectible preservation. The postcard does not have strong creases, tears or restoration. There are minor temporary darkening of the paper, slight scuffing of the corners and inconspicuous traces of use, emphasizing the authenticity of the object.
