The poster on which the postcard was printed was created by a Soviet graphic artist. Dmitry Moore (the pseudonym of Dmitry Stahievich Orlov) in 1920, at the height of the Civil War in Of Russia. The poster depicts three monumental figures symbolizing the old regime – a priest, a tsar and a capitalist (a bourgeois with a bag of rubles with the inscription "RSFSR") – standing on a pedestal. Below, naked men with torches set fire to the base of the pedestal, embodying the energy and dynamism of the proletariat, preparing to overthrow the old order. The poster called for an international proletarian revolution and supported the idea that a world revolution was near. It was published in an edition of 65,000 copies, which was one of the largest print runs of Soviet posters of the time. The print run of the postcard is unknown. I went through the mail. The bend in the center. Guarantee of authenticity.
