Gennady Vasilievich Sredin (August 5, 1917, Kazan — August 19, 1991, Moscow) was a Soviet military figure, political worker. Head of the Military-Political Academy named after V. I. Wife — Zinaida Nikolaevna (1919-2010), daughter — Galina (1947-2004). The author of the memoirs "The Great Victory. (1941-1945)" and "On guard of great conquests". He lived in Moscow. He died on August 19, 1991. He was buried at the Troyekurovsky cemetery.
