The original badge is in excellent collector's condition. Brass, enamel, silver plating, stamping. The sign depicts mining rigs, the silhouette of a jackhammer, a map of the region with a schematic of the Pechora River and a red five-pointed star covering the sign at the head. The abbreviation "USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs" at the bottom of the sign indicates that in the early post-war years, the Ministry of Internal Affairs was responsible for coal mining and infrastructure development in the Pechora coal basin. This sign did not reflect the fact that the key force in the most difficult conditions of the Far North (Vorkutalag, Intalag, etc.) were hundreds of thousands of prisoners of Soviet camps who built mines and the Northern Railway. The badge was awarded to senior and freelance staff, as well as distinguished employees of the department. It was actively awarded in the second half of the 1940s. There are several types of signs (with slotted and solid tower elements). The mounting is screw-type. The twist is included. Guarantee of authenticity.
