An original and extremely rare badge in good collector's condition. Bronze, bluing. On the original twist. The sign represents an image of a submarine of the "Sch" type, in the center of which is placed a red star with a golden sickle and hammer in the middle. The length of the sign is 70 mm, the maximum height is 17 mm. Guarantee of authenticity.
The "Submarine Commander" badge was established by order of the NK of the USSR Navy No. 170 dated June 12, 1942. By Order of the NK of the USSR Navy No. 383 dated August 16, 1943, the badge was modified. The outlines of the image of the submarine, in the center of which is placed a red enamel star, have been clarified. The length is 68 mm, the maximum height (with periscopes) is 23 mm. The sign is metallic, the oxidized fastening method has been changed from a pin to a pin and nut. The badge was awarded to commanders upon assuming permanent command of a ship based on orders from the commanders of fleets and flotillas. The badge was awarded once in a solemn ceremony upon first assuming command of the ship. By Order of the USSR Minister of Defense No. 233 dated August 15, 1987, the badge was transformed into the "Ship Commander" badge.
