Tompak, enamel. An original and rather rare sign in good condition. The design of the sign represents an engine phase with outstretched wings and a red star located on top, fastening with a threaded connection of a pin and a nut. Guarantee of authenticity.
By Order of the NCO of the USSR No. 235 of 31.10.1938, 14 new signs were established (each of the seven signs had a variant for excellent students). The signs of the 1938 model were based on three types of signs mod. 1936. It was decided to make signs at the LMD, but due to the overload of this enterprise, work was included in the plan only in 1940. This year it was planned to produce 50.585 units, and in 1941 - 42.375 (by the number of cadets). A total of 60,518 signs were issued from 1940 to 1941 (where the sign was issued before 1940 is not known). On 31.8.1940, when discussing the draft "Regulations on the passage of service by the command staff", it was decided to establish a single sign for the end of the Red Army Military School and such a sign appeared only in 1957. Until 1951, aviation badges continued to be issued. Officially, the cancellation of the NGO Order No. 2351938 occurred only in 1957.
