The original pre-war clip for the pioneer tie (fibula) "Always ready!", made in the USSR in the 1930s by the Leningrad Enamel factory). In the first decades of the existence of the All-Union Pioneer Organization, the fabric of the neckerchief was not knotted, but fastened with a special metal retainer. The image on the clip is completely ideologized:
This clamp had a sad fate. In the fall of 1937, a wave of rumors and espionage swept through the Soviet Union. Vigilant citizens "found" a hidden fascist swastika in the intertwining logs, Trotsky's profile in the outlines of the campfire, and when the clamp was turned 90 degrees, the letter "Z" hinted at the "enemy of the people" Grigory Zinoviev. Due to widespread fears, children and counselors began to get rid of accessories. The clips finally fell out of official use in 1942, when they were replaced with the usual pioneer badges, and the tie began to be tied with a special double knot.
