The original badge, issued in 1924 for the funeral and in memory of the death of the founder of the USSR. The sign is made in the form of a waving red banner, on the background of which are engraved diverging rays, as well as memorable dates of life "1870-1924" and the inscription in two lines: "LEADER OF THE WORLD PROLETARIAT." On the left of the shaft is a bas-relief portrait of V. I. Lenin in a cap, at the base of which is fixed a palm (or laurel) branch. Traditionally, such signs were made of bronze, brass, or silver (the highest grades were often 84th grade) coated with hot ruby-red enamel. This piece is made of tompack with traces of silvering. Since there was no single state standard for the production of commemorative signs at the beginning of 1924, private workshops, artels and jewelry factories created dozens of different stamp variations. Guarantee of authenticity.
