Badge "Participant in the construction of the Great Ferghana Canal (BFC)" in 1939

The original Soviet commemorative badge awarded to the participants of the grand national construction in Central Asia. The item is in very good, honest collector's condition, without restorations and interventions. The sign is made of bronze (tompak) by high-quality artistic stamping, covered with hot enamels (ruby red, white and blue). The surface retains the bright colors of the enamel with minimal traces of use, as well as a noble natural patina.

The composition of the sign has a complex, expressive form. A large red banner is flying in the upper part, on which the profile bas-relief of I. V. Stalin is embossed. In the center of the sign is a large five-pointed star with the abbreviation "BFC". Figures of construction workers are depicted to the left and right of her: a male worker with a pickle and a female collective farmer with a traditional ketmen, standing against a background of stacked sacks. The lower part of the sign is encircled by a blue enamel ribbon with the inscription "Uz SSR", under which the date of completion of the first stage of construction is stamped on the curly shield — "1939". The sides of the sign are framed by white enamel semicircles.

On the reverse of the sign there is a deep pronounced counter-relief, characteristic of pre-war products. The original mounting pin (screw) is installed in the center. The thread on the pin is intact, the screw was not shortened. There is a deep natural patina on the metal, confirming the solid age and authenticity of the object.

A rare, historically significant specimen of the pre-war period, which will become a worthy addition to the collection of Soviet faleristics and awards for large-scale socialist construction projects of the first five-year plans.
