An original and quite rare sign in good condition. 875 silver, enamel. A sign produced by the Moscow Association of Artists (MTX). The sign has an oval shape, is decorated with the inscription "HONORARY ROAD WORKER", a red star and a banner. In the center there is a road with a car leading to the bridge. Without a twist. Slight tinting of the red enamel. Guarantee of authenticity.
The departmental badge "Honorary Road Worker" was established in the USSR on June 17, 1938 by decree of the Council of People's Commissars No. 760. Initially, it was a badge of distinction of the Main Directorate of Highways of the NKVD of the USSR. Since 1946, after the reorganization of the People's Commissariats, he began to belong to the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs. The award was given to road workers for their exemplary work, Stakhanov's working methods, inventiveness, research activities and dedication in dealing with natural disasters.
