An original and extremely rare sign in excellent condition. Bronze, enamel. The sign is a blue triangle with painted sides, edged with a white stripe, on which the inscription "Air Force KA / instructor pilot" is placed in two lines. Spread out silver-plated wings, consisting of five feathers each and bearing red five-pointed stars, are superimposed in the center. The wings are almost half the size of the badge. A three-bladed propeller is mounted in the center. Size 25*60 mm. Fastening with a pin and nut. Guarantee of authenticity.
New signs for the KA Air Force appeared after the end of the Great Patriotic War. The first among them was the sign "Instructor Pilot", introduced at the request of the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal A.N. Novikov. Unfortunately, it was not possible to identify the date of its establishment. We can only say that it was issued before the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR No. 29 of July 24, 1946, which introduced the Charter of the Internal Service of the Armed Forces of the SSR, which established the name "Soviet Army" instead of the pre-existing "Red Army" or "Red Army", as indicated by the abbreviation on the badge. It was made at the Enamel factory of the Leningrad Association of Artists "Lenizo".
