Membership badge of the Voluntary Sports Society (DSO) "Science" in 1955

The original badge is in excellent condition. Bronze, enamel, nickel plating. The small sign is made in the form of a heraldic shield, divided in half into white and blue fields. The year 1955 is stamped in the upper part. A red ribbon with the inscription "SCIENCE" runs diagonally through the center of the shield. The sign on the original twist. Guarantee of authenticity.

The Nauka Society was established in the USSR in 1936 and brought together athletes from higher education, students and employees of scientific institutions. 1955 was the last year for this sports society in its independent form. It was in April 1955 that DSO Nauka merged with other departmental sports unions (such as Medik, Iskra, etc.) into a new, larger DSO Burevestnik. For this reason, badges with the date "1955" are considered a commemorative final issue of this organization.
