The magazine is the 10th issue in the military history series "Soldier at the Front". This book is a Russian-language translation of the popular reference book "Japanese Infantryman 1937-45: Sword of the Empire" from the British publishing house Osprey Publishing (author Gordon L. Rottman). The life of a Japanese infantryman is described in detail — from conscription and training to participation in combat operations. The book examines the codes of honor (Bushido), combat tactics, as well as the daily life of soldiers. The publication is richly illustrated with rare archival photographs and color tablets showing uniforms, equipment, and weapons (rifles, machine guns, swords, and bayonets) in detail. The magazine format contains about 50 pages on coated paper. This series focuses on the history of various branches of the armed forces and armies of the world in different historical periods. It also includes issues dedicated to German paratroopers, Germany's allies on the Eastern Front, and other topics.
