A rare lifetime collection of poems by the famous Soviet futurist poet Nikolai Nikolaevich Aseev called "The First Platoon". Good collector's condition, pencil inscriptions, ink, dirt and tears. Size 11*17 cm. Goslitizdat. Moscow.
The cover is designed in an expressive poster style, combining black outlines and a bright red fill on a gray-green background. A close-up of a Soviet soldier in a steel helmet (helmet) is depicted, who forcefully hits the head of a cartoon Nazi invader with the butt of a Mosin rifle. The enemy is depicted with a swastika on his sleeve, in a torn uniform and with a bloody knife in his hand, which emphasizes the cunning and inevitable defeat of the enemy.
This is Aseev's first frontline publication. The collection is a quick, prompt reaction of the poet to the attack of Nazi Germany. It includes only 10 poems (including "Moscow is fighting", "Stalin's friends!", "The Red Oath", "Hyena", etc.) designed to strengthen the morale of the defenders of the Motherland.
This brochure is a vivid historical document of the first months of the war and a valuable object for collectors of Soviet military books. We recommend it!
