Description

The original book is in good collector's condition. Softcover. The format is 145*208 mm. The volume is 203 pages. In his memoirs, General Max Hoffmann, one of the highest German military leaders of the period 1914-1918, analyzes the reasons for Germany's defeat in the First World War. The most interesting pages of the book are detailed memories of the participation of Germany and Great Britain in the preparation of the revolution in Of Russia. Hoffman played a major role in concluding the Brest Peace with the Bolsheviks. For the sake of this world, he created entire states. "In fact, Ukraine is my handiwork, and not at all the creation of the conscious will of the Russian people. No one else like me created Ukraine to be able to make peace with at least one part of Russia..." he said in an interview. In Russia, the book was published in a limited edition in 1925. It was subsequently removed from libraries and placed in a special storage facility. It has not been reprinted since. The preface to the book, reflecting the spirit of his time, was written by the famous Soviet historian Vladimir Gurko-Kryazhin. Guarantee of authenticity.
