Alexander Ivanovich Pokryshkin (March 6 (19), 1913, Novo-Nikolaevsk, Tomsk province, Russian Empire — November 13, 1985, Moscow, USSR) was a Soviet military commander and ace pilot during the Great Patriotic War, Air Marshal (1972). The first thrice Hero of the Soviet Union (05/24/1943, 08/24/1943, 08/1944). Candidate for membership in the Central Committee of the CPSU (1976-1985). Member of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (1979-1984). Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (1946-1984). Candidate of Military Sciences (1969), military pilot 1st class (1951). A. I. Pokryshkin was the second most effective fighter pilot (after Ivan Kozhedub) among the pilots of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition. The Second World War. Guarantee of authenticity.
