Bondar Sergey Mikhailovich (1912-1990). Soviet portrait painter. He studied at the Kiev Art Institute (1930) and at the studio of the Association of Artists of Red Ukraine under M. A. Rutchenko (1930). Member of the Association of Artists of Red Ukraine. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. He painted portraits of Soviet leaders and illustrated Soviet books. His series "Portraits of Russian Writers" was printed on postcards in 1953.
