An original and very rare piece of equipment of a Soviet tanker in good condition. It needs minor repairs – cleaning metal buckles from corrosion, installing 2 buttons. The dome of the helmet is leather, the lining is flannelette. In the antique market, it is practically not found on sale. Guarantee of authenticity.
In the mechanized troops (later armored vehicles) of the Red Army of the Armed Forces of the USSR, the military personnel were equipped with a helmet of the 1931 model and a helmet of the 1934 model (it was not a helmet), since radio stations and intercom devices were only introduced en masse in weapons and military equipment. In 1936, a new helmet was introduced for equipment as a headset (sinuses were added to the helmet of the 34th year to accommodate radio equipment). The headset was made of both leather and coated with avizent (a dense wear-resistant fabric of special weaving), later from kirza. On the" talking hat " from the forehead to the back of the head were sewn three headrests (rollers), and in the front part there was a sewn forehead (roller). On the sides there was either one roller, which was sewn in the center, or three, arranged in a fan. All the rollers were filled with horsehair, and in later models — with technical fiber.
