The Military (Naval Polytechnic) Institute of the Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Navy "Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N. G. Kuznetsov" is a higher military educational institution of the Navy of the Russian Federation, located in Pushkin (Kadetsky Boulevard, 1). It was established in 1998 as a result of mergers of the VVMIU named after F. E. Dzerzhinsky and LVMIU named after V. I. Lenin. On July 1, 2012, after merging with the A. S. Popov Naval Institute of Radioelectronics, the Federal State Educational Institution Military Institute (Naval Polytechnic) FGKVOU VPO "Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Navy "N. G. Kuznetsov Naval Academy" became known. The university employs 60 doctors of sciences, 69 professors, 205 candidates of sciences, 162 associate professors, 28 senior researchers, 46 academicians and corresponding members of branch academies of sciences, more than 10 honored scientists.
