The original cap is in good condition. Cloth, dermatin, plastic. The lining of the cap is satin. The collar is made of dermatin. The front of the cap is straight, slightly convex, with a rigid stand, and a metal frame is inserted inside. The visor of the cap is fiberboard, black, lacquered, elongated semicircular shape. Above the visor, a black chin strap is fastened to the uniform brass buttons. On the upper edge of the headband and crown is a white edging (ship service). It was introduced by order of the People's Commissar of the Navy No. 426 dated October 20, 1939. Considering that By Order of the People's Commissar of the USSR Navy No. 51 dated February 15, 1943, an ornament was introduced on the visor of the cap of the senior officers of the naval and naval engineering service, the cap can be dated 1939-43.
