The original helmet is in good collector's condition. The helmet is sewn from semi-coarse cloth of dark gray color and consists of a lined cap, a visor and a hinged back cover, fastened with two small metal buttons. The cap consists of six spherical triangles sewn together by the sides, converging at the top, secured with a button covered with the same cloth. In the usual position, the back of the head bends in half in width, its narrow ends are laid inside and fastened on the sides to the helmet cap with a small metal button. The front of the helmet is originally sewn with a regular five-pointed star made of instrument-colored cloth assigned to the troops and organs of the NKVD, on top of which is a 31-mm star of the rank and file of the 1936 model with an overhead SIM. The lining is made of dyed calico with a quilt on cotton wool, the manufacturer's stamps are perfectly readable and the year of manufacture of the product is 1938. The rim of the helmet has a lighter shade from sunburn, which was a common practice due to low-quality dyes used on products of this type. Guarantee of authenticity.
