The original photo is in excellent condition. The size is 132*180 mm. A gelatin-silver imprint of the era. The photo shows Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin (1934-1968) during his "Peace Mission"" — a world tour that Yuri Gagarin made after flying into space, having visited about 30 countries. Gagarin was not on an official visit to Canada, but as part of a private visit — at the invitation of steel industrialist, financier and philanthropist Cyrus Eaton (1883-1979), he is also depicted in both photographs. In the late 1960s, one of Cyrus Eaton's companies, Tower International, invested in a number of projects in the USSR, including the construction of a high-rise shopping center in Moscow and a gas pipeline through Siberia, but was unable to implement them. The photos also show the Sherwood Rideau couple, the 1961 mayor of Moncton and his wife. The photo was previously unknown. The smallest scuffs on the edges, small creases in the corners. Tags of the agency for turnover. From the archive of a KGB officer. Guarantee of authenticity.
