Sergey Mironovich Kirov (birth name — Kostrikov; March 15 [27], 1886, Urzhum, Vyatka province — December 1, 1934, Leningrad) was a Russian revolutionary, Soviet statesman and politician. On December 1, 1934, he was killed by Leonid Nikolaev. Kirov's murder was the reason for the beginning of mass repressions in the USSR. Guarantee of authenticity.
