Valeria Dmitrievna Khomyakova (August 3, 1914 — October 6, 1942) was a Soviet pilot, participant in the Great Patriotic War, Deputy squadron commander of the 586th Women's Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Air Defense, Senior Lieutenant. The world's only female night fighter pilot who shot down an enemy bomber.

    1. Galina Pavlovna Burdina (married Ermak, Latvian. GaļIna Jermak; 1919-2006) was a Soviet pilot of the Great Patriotic War. She was born on March 24, 1919 in Vereshchagino, Okhansky district, Perm Province, into a large family. Her father died during the Civil War in Of Russia. Together with two other female instructors at the Sverdlovsk School, she volunteered at The Red Army. She was sent to the city of Engels, Saratov region. Upon arrival at the place, Marina Raskova informed that Burdina should be trained as a fighter pilot. In combat operations on the front of the Great Patriotic War, she served with Tamara Memorable as night fighters in the 586th Fighter Aviation Regiment, supporting bombers and acting as scouts. During the war, G. P. Burdina made 152 successful sorties, shot down 3 enemy aircraft in air battles. She reached the rank of senior lieutenant, ended the war and was an Aeroflot pilot for fifteen years, after which she became an air traffic controller in Riga. She was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (No. 178906) and the badge of the Civil Air Fleet "500,000 km Flight" (No. 4503).

    1. Valentina Mikhailovna Lisitsina (1921-1989) was a Soviet pilot who participated in the Great Patriotic War. He began his service in the Red Army on May 15, 1941. She participated in the Great Patriotic War on December 5, 1941. With the rank of second lieutenant, she was a flight commander of the 586th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Air Defense. By the end of February 1943, Lisitsyna had flown 20 combat missions on a Yak-1 fighter. From March 10, 1943, she fought on The Voronezh Front. By October 7, 1943, she had flown 62 combat missions. From November 1943 to March 1944, she defended Kiev's facilities and the Dnieper River crossings. In February-March 1944, she participated in Korsun-Shevchenko operation. At the end of the war, she took part in the liberation of Budapest and Debrecen. In total, during her participation in combat operations, Valentina Lisitsina flew 160 combat sorties on Yak-1 and Yak-9 fighters. She shot down one aircraft as part of a pair: Junkers 88 on June 14, 1943. At the end of the war, she was a senior lieutenant, deputy regiment commander for air rifle service. She was discharged from the Army in November 1945. She lived in Moscow and participated in the work of the Soviet Committee of War Veterans. She died in Moscow on June 22, 1989.

    1. Tamara Ustinovna Memorable (1919-2012) was a Soviet pilot, participant in the Great Patriotic War, squadron commander of the 586th Women's Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Air Defense. In 1936, 16—year-old Tamara joined the aero club of the city of Sverdlovsk. Then I got into Ulyanovsk Flight School, where 11 girls studied among 250 boys. After graduation, Tamara worked as an instructor pilot at an aero club, which became a military flight school a month after the start of the war, and she taught cadets how to fly a UT-2 airplane. In October 1941, Tamara and two other girls were called to Moscow, to the Air Force headquarters. From there she got to the city of Engels, Saratov region. During the Great Patriotic War, she flew 205 combat missions and shot down 2 German bombers. She served in the 586th Aviation Regiment. In an air battle on March 19, 1943, together with Raisa Surnachevskaya, they repelled a raid by a group of 42[2] bombers on the Kastornoye railway junction, shooting down 4 aircraft. For this they were awarded the Order of the Red Banner. A little later, the English king, after reading about this message, sent the pilots a gold watch as a gift through the Soviet Foreign Ministry. The Commemorative watch was engraved: "To the brave and elegant pilot Lieutenant Tamara, Commemorative from King George VI of England!". After the end of the war, she worked as a dispatcher at the Rostov GVF airport. Member of the Presidium of the regional committee of war veterans[4]. Chairman of the board of the "Front-line Girl" club. In 1968, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the end of the Battle of Stalingrad, a meeting of the pilots of the former 586th Fighter Aviation Regiment took place in Volgograd, where Tamara Memorable was also present.
