Konstantin Vasilyevich Manoshin (1917-1971) was a lieutenant colonel in the Soviet Army and a participant in the Great Patriotic War. Hero of the Soviet Union (1944). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1943. He was born on May 11 (24), 1917 in the village of Suksun, Krasnoufimsky district, Perm province (now the district center of the Suksun district of Perm Krai). He graduated from nine grades of school. In 1935, he was called up to serve in the Red Army. In 1938 he graduated from the Engels Military Aviation School of Pilots. Since September 1942, he served on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. By July 1944, Guards Major Konstantin Manoshin was the navigator of the 64th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 4th Guards Fighter Aviation Division of the 1st Guards Fighter Aviation Corps of the 3rd Air Army of the 1st Baltic Front. By that time, he had flown 132 combat missions, participated in 38 aerial battles, personally shooting down 12 enemy aircraft personally and 4 in a group. By decree of the Presidium of the USSR Armed Forces dated October 26, 1944, for "courage and heroism shown in aerial combat," Senior Lieutenant Konstantin Manoshin was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal. After the end of the war, he continued to serve in the Soviet Army. In 1964, he was discharged from the reserve with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He lived in Voronezh. He died on August 23, 1971, and was buried at the Levoberezhny cemetery.
