Fyodor Kuzmich Fak (September 13, 1913 — December 27, 1974) was a participant in the Great Patriotic War, chief of communications squadron of the 150th Bomber Aviation Regiment of the 46th Mixed Aviation Division of the Kalinin Front, second lieutenant. Hero of the Soviet Union. He was born on September 13, 1913, on a farm in the Dubovsky region of the Donskoy Army (now Dubovsky district of the Rostov region) in a working-class family. The Ukrainian. He spent his childhood in the village of Klepaly, Burynsky district, Sumy region (Ukraine). He graduated from grades 7 and the Federal Law School. He worked at the Konotop steam locomotive repair plant. He served in the Red Army since 1935. He studied at the regimental school of the 23rd Cavalry Regiment. In 1937 he graduated from the Kharkov Military Aviation School. He participated in the Great Patriotic War since July 1941. He fought on the Western, Kalinin, Stalingrad, Bryansk, Steppe, Voronezh, 1st and 2nd Ukrainian fronts. Member of the CPSU since 1942. By January 1942, the squadron's chief of Communications, Junior Lieutenant Fyodor Fak, had participated in 204 combat sorties (101 of them at night) to bombard enemy manpower and equipment, ammunition depots and fuel depots, causing great damage to the enemy. By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR "On awarding the title Hero of the Soviet Union to the commanding and ordinary personnel of the Red Army" dated May 5, 1942, for "exemplary performance of combat missions of the command at the front of the struggle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown at the same time", he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 573). He finished his military career in Czechoslovakia. During the Great Patriotic War, he flew over 300 combat missions. After the war, he continued to serve in the Soviet Air Force. In 1950 he graduated from the Higher Officer Aviation School of Navigators. Since 1959, Lieutenant Colonel F. K. Fak has been in reserve. He worked for some time at Irkutsk airport. Since 1970, he has lived in the city of Putivl, Sumy region. He died on December 27, 1974. He was buried at the Central Cemetery in Putivl.
